Just started using opk

Jusr done my first test this cycle and I’m on day 12 of 29 day cycle.

I know it’s negative which is what I expected today, but it’s much darker than I expected. Thought it would be mega faint, but realised I’d been drinking loads just before I tested. Could it be going positive and I’ve diluted it down? My cervix is high and open but my app has me down to ovulate on Saturday. Unsure if I should check again later tonight x

I may have diluted the test. I wud re test. If ure cervix is open and ure showing signs of O I wud be doing the deed. Just in case.
Also if ure only testing once a day u can easily miss ure surge. I just managed to catch mine i had a very short surge but I had all the signs of O.
My opk never got darker than the control line. It only got as dark as the control line. Good luck
