Just typical!

Just went to see the registrar this morning to pay her and go through the details of the ceremony. We were expecting to pay just over £200 which was OK but when I got there she had to apologise and say that the cost of a wedding is going up to £233.50 from April 6th. I get married on April 7th! So the registrar cost £30 more than expected! Bloody typical, huh! Just as well we're coming in under budget overall!

Yeah, it sucks. The registrar only found out today herself. Just as well I went in today to be honest though as otherwise we'd have had a phonecall saying that we need to pay the extra. I think it would end up with them not being able to release the marriage certificate or something if we didn't pay the full fee. Sodding county councils! The registrar was so apologetic, bless her!
