So this past week has past in a big blur it feels as though it has only been a day!
Last Friday I had a huge huge bloody show I woke up at seven thirty am and got to the loo to find pink blood all over a tissue and bits of plug coming out.. I was calm about that as I knew it was normal.. So I went back to bed thinking I best had get some sleep as I'm guessing labours not far off now.... I fell asleep until 11am and got up again because I had cramps in my lower back. I went to the loo to find myself bleeding a huge amount in bright red I was concerned now so I phoned the triage unit, she told me to put a pad on and phone if it gets worse. I went back to the loo and was bleeding even more bright red and it was slightly clotty in the bottom of the toilet.
I phoned the MW back and she said to go straight to hospital and get seen... So I get there and they are really really confused about why I am loosing soo much blood they put a cannula in as they are concerned it is my placenta abrupting. They did an internal and the Doctors glove was covered in blood literally it was like a period he said I was really really mucusy and I have to to stay in and that I was only 1cm dilated with a long firm cervix what was gutting as by this time I was getting period pains and I just felt weird..
I got to the ward at 10.30 and I went to the loo and a huge huge bit of bloody plug came out I paniced as it looked like a huge blood clot what the MW and Dr said to watch for..so I pressed the buzzer and it..
I had about 4 hours sleep in the night because I couldn't sleep as I felt anxious labour wasn't to far off possibly... The Dr came back the next day and did another internal then said I was still 1cm dialted I was contracting midly every 15 mins so I was like omg.. I thought I'd atleast of dialted another 1/2 a cm at least... they sent me home and by 5.15pm my contractions was ten mins apart and all in my back I couldn't sit walk or even lie down because of the pain I was in.... this lasted for hours and hours I went tesco at 11pm at night to try and shift things along! We got back and I was still contracting every ten mins so OH went bed as I was positive this was it!! I stayed up ate some food and bounced on my ball.. By 5am I was in agony breathing through the contractions and just thinking It must be close now they are every ten mins and I am in pain so badly....
It carried on all through out the day and they got so bad I was seriously considering o'ding on co codimal and paracetmol . OH ran out and got me a tens machine to see if it made a difference it did slightly with the labour being in my back...
By 12 pm my contractions was every 5 mins so we went to the hospital they checked and I was still a 1 and firm by now I was so pissed off. I got home and was so angry that I was contracting regularly but getting no where... about an hour after getting home they was un bearable I was on all fours on my ball nothing helped... By 5am I got OH up and went I NEED TO GO. I got there and was still 1cm dilated I begged for pain relief but they wouldn't give me anything they kept me in because of how strong and reg they was they was reaching 150 but no dilation happening at all ..
The midwife told me Ivy was back to back and that I should seriously consider an epidural as she would have one with the way she is lay and no pain relief but that is going to touch it....
So I ended up contracting all day monday they was seriously strong in my back each one I hopped off the bed and just gripped on to the side of the bed and just felt like my back was getting ran over.... I went to the toilet and I checked up there and loads of brown show was coming out and I could feel her head coming down through my cervix.. the MW then came back ten mins later and felt my cervix and told me I was finally in labour @ 4cm dilated and that I can now have my epidural....I knew it would be ages till an anaesthetic got to me to give it to me so I asked for Gas and air and they gave me that... I instantly felt amazing!!!
I just smiled in to the pillow and felt like I was pissed at one point I was hugging the pillow.... I then remember my mum rubbing my back and me going Mum it's in my bum it's in my bum the MW ran round and went right let's get her to delivery now... they ran me round to delivery but they taken the Gas and Air off me so I screamed the place down while they pushed me through it must of been awful to hear but I seriously didn't care I had no break in between my contractions...
I got back in to delivery got my Gas and air back and they then checked me and said I was 8 1/2 cm I was soo out of it I didn't care I reffused my epidural like this 'Thats fucking amazing, fuck the epidural' slurring it like crazy haha! OH came back to me as he left when I got into actual labour as they said it would be hours yet and he should go home and get some rest.... he did and mum had to phone him to get his bum back to the place..
By time he got their I couldn't open my eyes because the gas and air made me see things double! I remember looking at OH and going 'I'd look at you but you have six faces' I then told the midwife 'YOU THINK I THINK YOUR NOT FUCKING FINGERING ME BUT I KNOW YOU ARE
' and I also told him I was a sea horse and I sounded like one...
I then remember the pushing feeling coming on I was like I need to push I need to push and it is like having a giant shit honestly! I started screaming through them now I didn't have any control about the noise I was making... I then felt the head coming down and it burnt like mad seriously I thought I was splitting in two everything burns. Her head popped out and she was already looking around supposdly with her coming sunny side up mum was like omg! OH was crying like crazy he couldn't handle the pain I was in and the fact his daughter was already looking about! The body popped out and she was placed on my chest I hadn't opened my eyes the whole labour so I just stroked her and was like OMG IT'S SO soft!!! I finally opened my eyes to OH in the corner crying and this little baby on me....
My placenta came out about 4 mins later? And it was fine... it kind of feels like the bearing feeling you get when your close to pushing....
After the birth I had a shower etc what you really really do not want espically after not sleeping for a few nights and just giving birth I thought I was going to faint in the shower.... they then take me to the post natal ward and throw OH out and leave me and bean alone... I must of slept for 2 hours that night? I was completley out of it the next day I couldn't sleep but I couldn't open my eyes.... my body was asleep kind of thing but my mind was awake...
Anyway we got home on Wed night and I just felt so ill seriously I fell to sleep but I couldn't properly get off it was awful... I still felt seriously Ill yesterday and today my heart kept palpitating and beating fast and I kept shaking and I still feel very light headed etc and it turns out I am anaemic so that's why I feel so out of it.... So I am on 3 iron tabs a day now until I see the Dr for a blood test....
All in all if I ever had a back to back labour again I wouldn't do it I would ask for a c section straight away it was far to much.. I have no idea how I did it just on Gas and air and went for so long....
One tip of advice for you ladies is be really really strict on vistors I felt bombarded to be honest OH's mum kept inviting herself down every day and it was far to much today I had my aunty come but it was okay not to bad....
Thanks so much for all your support as well during the slow labour I know I bombarded this place on Sat, sun....and through the pregnancy you have the best to come yet!!! Even through the tiredness It is worth every min!

One tip of advice for you ladies is be really really strict on vistors I felt bombarded to be honest OH's mum kept inviting herself down every day and it was far to much today I had my aunty come but it was okay not to bad....
