My LO has always been swaddled at night, so I've never had a problem keeping her hands warm, but she can't be swaddled forever so I've tried leaving her arms out a few times. My question is, how do I keep her hands warm? I use the Halo sleepsacks and have the swaddle wing thingies around her chest, and this keeps the rest of her body plenty warm, but her poor little hands are freezing when she wakes up. Should I put mittens or socks on her hands? Surely I'm not the only who has this problem! I am considering buying a zipadeezip which would do the trick, but was hoping for a cheaper way.

I just use scratch mitts. And she is tripled bootied!! lol!

We used socks. Scratch mittens never stayed on. You can also get sleepers where the sleeve folds over their hands.

We used the pjs with the fold over part on the hands. The scratch mits were always too big, but we have a little pair of regular mittens that are super soft. LO loooooooves them. She has never worn them to sleep, but she loves them when we go out. Something like that might work at night. The socks idea was good too.

I use jojo maman babe sleeping bags (they have long sleeves that cover her hands)

It's ok for their hands to be cold. As long as their body is warm.

We used to use the fold over mitts on sleepsuits, but he likes to suck on his fingers so we've stopped. Cold hands don't seem to bother him - they bother me during night feedings when he grabs my boob!!!!

I just leave him be, it doesn't seem to bother him. I tried putting mittens on his hands but he would just suck them so they would end up soaking wet and just as cold x

I either fold the ends of the sleepsuit or put scratch mits on. 1 to keep her hands a little warmer and 2 becoz she claws her face when puttin herself to sleep the little oddball. It is ok for their hands to be cold, but I sleep better knowing they r a little covered

I have the same problem for naps because I only swaddle for bedtime. But he doesn't keep socks or mittens on his hands. So I'm still trying to figure out what else to do.

All my sons sleep suits have scratch mitts built in on the ends which I just fold over and I then put a pair of scratch mitts on top and they seem to stay on! This way if he sucks his hands at night which he's started to do now he's teething he doesn't get cold hands due to them being wet as there is the extra sleep suit mitts underneath!
