does anyone here keep things for sentimental reasons which really you should throw away?

im talking

engagement cards
wedding cards
birthday cards
babies birth cards
babies birthday cards

etc..

im trying to declutter and really want to keep things but i know its so silly!!

opinions?

I keep all them apart from mine an hubbys birthday cards unless from each other or the LOs

Oh gosh im bad at keeping birthday cards, valentines cards etc.. I still have all my valentines cards from ex's and photo's, letters ect.. I never ever really read them i just want to keep for sentiment value the items once meant something to me so i don't want to throw away a memory iykwim? lol

im exactly the same - they sit in a box and never get looked at - very silly cos who the hell is gonna want them. i want to be able to get rid of them but i dont think i can haha x

I had a big clear out earlier in the year, I had cards from all family for birthdays etc, about 5 years worth, all in 2 boxes Cleared them out to just wedding cards, birth cards, birthday cards etc from/to me and my husband, my daughter and mine and hubbys immediate family so still alot! x

I have all our wedding, first and second anniversary cards still from friends and family

I also have all my old letters from OH from before we were married!

I'm so sentimental so doubt I'd ever throw them out - just get a bigger box to fit them in!!

I'm awful for it! At home we have three boxes... One full of sentimental things from mine and OH's relationship, one full of pregnancy/baby things and one for his other son. x

I only keep the baby bits. Cant be bothered with keeping birthday/christmas/valentines etc. Unless its a particularly nice one which gets cut up and used for scrapbooking

I've kept all of their birth cards and also their 1st Birthday cards. I don't bother keeping mine and OH's though unless the kids have made them, same with mother and father day ones, they then go in their keepsake boxes.

^^I like the idea of scrapbooking speacial ones though.

I am terrible for this! But my auntie had a fab idea... photos! So now i take pictures of everything and then i can get rid but still have the memories

I have kept the kids first birthday and new baby cards though!

I've got all my baby boy and baby girl cards.

I've kept birthday cards from special people too.

Years ago I would keep all of the cards ever given. It was ridiculous, I mean I've never needed them or read them again!

I'm so unsentimental !! I keep nothing unless its mislaid somewhere and quite nice when I find it years later. I hate clutter so if I don't expect to use something it gets chucked.
I unexpectedly found my sympathy cards I received when my dad died, made me cry a little! I should save them I just hate stuff hanging around, I'm suprised the hubby's still around ha!!
