I haven't decided yet if I'm going out or not. A lot of stores are running good deals up until Thanksgiving and I got out today and got some Christmas shopping done.

Just a heads up, I got got an email that everything in the Carters store and online is now 50% off and while I was at Gymboree today everything was 25% off and you could use a coupon on top of that if you had one! I guess on Black Friday and over the weekend everything in Gymboree bumps up to 30%, not sure about any Carters deals. Just wanted to pass along the word

Well since we are broke and are not looking for any big ticket items the crowds are so not worth it. If we were buying aome big ticket items maybe

I'm going, but I'm really disappointed in the ads this year. Last year was MUCH better with toys.

i shop online. i only have to xmas shop for our 2 kids, dh and my sister...good thing about having practically no family!!

Friday is my day of the week to pay bills and run errands and such..just another day of the week for me.

just a little more traffic!

picking up a used swing for dd though

My DH plans on going in order to buy another embarrassingly enormous TV. :growlmad:

I'm going to hang out with my son in front of the fireplace & maybe do some online shopping if he'll let me.

I am going! i have had to work every single black friday since me and my dh have been together i got another job so finally we will go. We will leave my LOs with my MIL though i dont wanna have to bring them as i dont knwo what exactly i will b looking at. I hear alot of stores open thanksgiving night? Is this true?

I am!! I go every year! I have tried to stay away from the ads online because one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving is getting the paper and going through every ad and planning my "plan of attack" haha

Yes! Last year was my first year doing REAL early morning shopping and I loved it! Just the 10 dollar diaper packs at babies r us alone is worth it!

Plus my body changed so much thanks to my dd so I desperately need new clothes...thankfully I can go on black Friday and save so much!

I'm not going this year. I get very claustrophobic and irritated with large crowds :/ I know a lot of stores near me have been open thanksgiving night in the past. I haven't payed enough attention this year to know if they will be open thanksgiving night. It seems everywhere is more focused on "cyber monday" and online deals this year.

Black friday shopping is the day after thanksgiving (which is the fourth thursday of november) and it's basically when most people in the US start their christmas shopping. The stores usually have really good sales on black friday and a lot of people usually have that day off from work.

Oh, and it's usually a one day sale to try and get people into the stores that day. Cyber monday is the monday after thanksgiving and it's sales for stores on that monday and the sales are for the online shopping sites or the store's online catalog. I'm not too certain, but I think the online sales are just for that monday too

No unfortunately im in the UK I have been buying bits off the UK amazon black friday though im loving it, it started on monday and finishes on 25th nov then they do 2 more extra days :)
