I technically have 2 jobs. I am in uni but I also work(ed) for an events company and also did some shifts at a local conference hall whenever it suited me.

My maternity pay is coming from the first job at the events company, which is fine.

However I just received an email today from my manager at my 2nd job asking for staff to count votes at the election. Its £150 for a 4 hour shift and £25 per hour after that. Obiouvsly its great money so I really want to do it!

However, can I? Would this count as a KIT day? I don't get any maternity pay from this job, but haven't been offered any KIT days from my other job.

 iv no idea hun!!
But you are legally entitled to 10 KIT days I thought so even though your first job hasnt offered you any you can still go in and use them.
I would call acas to find out about the second job. Also,i thought there was a limit to how much you could earn with KIT days?!

I'd say it would count as a KIT day but check with the DWP or CAB

Hmm, that's a hard one. I wouldn't have thought you could get a KIT day if you don't get maternity pay from them? I would therefore have thought you could just claim the money, as you only risk losing the mat pay if you work over 10 KIT days. Although on the other hand, as you receive mat pay frome the first job i'm not sure . ha ha sorry, seek advice! x
