knitting anyone? share patterns and ideas for babies on their way?

hey all i decided to ask my mum and grandma to knit and crochet stuff for the baby, my OH's grandma is also making a shawl (she's almot 100, had 13of her own kids and has about 60 grandkids lol makde shawls for them all) so its a grea honour to get from her but got me thinking of other things i would like to have made/make myself when i have time and get break from work/college....

anyways was wondering if anyone would like to share their knitting patterns and ideas for babies who will be born soon etc?

I knit but I don't crochet (yet, I have been meaning to learn)
