does anyone's little ones have this? I think Jack may have it and was just wondering if you could tell me the symptoms etc I'm waiting for the dr's to ring me back with a app this afternoon x

Did you get an appointment in the end? I only know a bit about it - I had a dairy allergy as a child, and my nephew has problems with cows milk now.

As far as I know, frequent loose stools or being sick can be signs, along with poor weight gain. I'm sure there are other symptoms too, but as I recall the main ones can be attributed to lots of other things too, which is why it isn't always easily diagnosed.

What symptoms has your LO got?

We've been told my LO has a suspected lactose intolerance, we're seeing consultants and dieticians, but to be honest I'm not convinced. She is putting on weight well and seems quite contented. Her only symptoms are reflux, regular green nappies, and blood in the stools.

I believe more often the symptoms include struggling to gain weight, painful cramps/ wind and loose stools. I hope you get some answers xx

We saw the dr and he has given me some SMA lactose free formula to try and we have to take a poo sample in tomorrow. He's gaining weight fine but he has runny poos awful wind/cramps dry patches of skin a red ring around his bum that won't go away and suspected reflux x

Edward has been diagnosed lactose intolerant based on a stool sample test and he was gaining weight fine. His symptoms were a rash, green and very runny poo, vomiting, diarrhoea, discomfort after feeding leading to refusal to feed. It was treated as reflux before finally being diagnosed correctly. xx
