So ehres the low down,

hypermesis, SPD and insanely bad itching. I can barely walk let alone get out of bed in the morning from the SPD.

Tuesday night - lower back pains,
Wednesday - mild contractions and lower back pains,
Thursday - Drs app, did sweep 3cm, stretchy, 80% effaced, did a sweep, some show. slightly more painful contractions during the night.
Friday - contractions still slightly painful but no-where near regular enough, lost huge chunks of mucus plug every time I go to the bathroom, TMI but bowls have emptied themselves out.

Would like to have baby sooner rather then later due to the sickness and severe pain from the spd, cannot be induced, so need natural ways to bring on labour. Dr said she wouldnt mind me going anytime between now and new year as the baby is in great shape and weight. next appointment and sweep is at my 39 week app.

PLEASE give me suggestions to get this baby out, with everything thats going on my body is preparing I just want to give it a helping hand :)

I had almost no signs of labour at 39+ weeks, cervix closed. asked ob what I can do, he suggested walking up and down stairs, sex, chilli, pineapples...

Didnt like most things he suggested, so I ate 2 pineapples in 2 days, my water broke on the second day:happydance:, had my baby and still got half of pineapple left in the fridge lol.

But maybe it's a nice coincidence.

The only think you're going to do is exhaust yourself. Unfortunatley those "natural inductions" are nothing more than old wives tales. Your body truly doesn't go into labor until it's ready, and that is usually when baby's lungs trigger the hormone response to start labor.

well I dont mean the old wvies tales of eating pineapple or using EPO, full moons etc

I mean ive heard walking really helps, and sex because of the chemical reaction fromt he sperm + the contraction of orgasms.

Im already in labour, latent labour....just its not getting anywhere :(

How are you doing, PepsiChic? :flower:
I've noticed the date of your post (29th Dec) - it is also the date of my labour...
Can I congratulate you?

I've tried several options as well, but nothing worked. I don't think there's any way to make it start faster sadly, only to wait it out when he or she decides that "Mommy, now it's time!"

Im hanging in there, reached 39 weeks yesterdaya nd labour has officially stalled out. BLAH!

It's such a pain I know!

Maybe have a look through this to get labour going:
https://acupuncture.rhizome.net.nz/downloads/Acupressure.pdf

I'm still swimming 40 lengths front crawl at a good pace, I've been out and done some sprinting, and I walk around 4 miles everyday. I use epo vaginally and orally, have been eating dates since 34 weeks, eating loads of pineapple and spicy food, had 3 sessions of reflexology and acupressure and so far not even a Braxton hick. I don't think I've lost any plug or had much of an increase in cervical mucus. I give up!
Only thing I haven't done is had sex because my dh finds it weird with a pregnant woman and I think it puts him under pressure to perform!

Hi, I was 9 days overdue when my daughter finally came into the world. I sat reading the funny birth stories here on baby and bump laughing very loud and shaky laughing coz they were that funny. And after 5mins I had my 1st pain, four hours later my daughter was born. I'm just so glad my m.i.l drove us to the ozzy after 3hours coz I thought birth was still gonna take ages. How wrong I was! Goodluck hun
