Ladies, is it possible to get pregnant after a week off the pill?

Have been on several contraception pills over the past 2-3 years.
Last pill i was on was Noriday. Came off it a week ago. During the last packet i had missed several pills.
Have had a few pregnancy symptoms the last 24-48 hours, although i am aware that coming off the pill can cause symptoms similar to those experienced in pregnancy.
Has anybody become pregnant this quickly after coming off the pill?

Yes, technically it is possible (anything's possible!) but it is unlikely and the symptoms of coming off the pill can be the same as pregnancy symptoms. If you are in any doubt, wait a week and test.

Hiya, quite a few people believe from anecdotal evidence that you have an extra-fertile period straight after coming off the pill. My own mother in law conceived my husband two days after coming off! I know dr's also sometimes use the pill to regulate cycles in women ttc, although I don't know many that are keen on this treatment!

My friend is coming off the pill in a few months and her doc advised that she sees a lot of woman get caught on the first couple of weeks after coming off the pill too. Wish I'd done that now, though I was being sensible coming off 3 months before starting to try!
