Ladies who've used clomid - cm question

Just wondered what the clomid did to your cm & whether the side effects were the same if you tried different doses?

I've done three rounds of clomid at 50mg without a bfp & I'm trying 100mg this (well, next) cycle. I didn't get much fertile cm after the clomid & it was worse each time - I'm worried that there will be even less on 100mg.

I've had two months off so maybe that will help?

Any experience? Thanks

I've only just done my first round of clomid this cycle so I can't really help I guess ha ha. But while I seemed to be going ok with my Cm around O we did use a type of pre seed also so that might have helped even more?

This is my 6th cycle on clomid. My cm changed much less throughout my cycle when on clomid. I used preseed and took robitussin throughout. I did have a pregnancy when on clomid using these two things but unfortunately it ended in a loss. This month I am trying evening primrose oil as well to try and help with my cm. I am on 100 mg and have been the whole time.

I've thought of trying pressed - will see how this first cycle hoes before I commit to an internet purchase. Sammy - how much epo are you trying? I'm on 100mg of clomid this cycle too. Let me know how it goes - I'm taking omega 3 in the form of flaxseed oil supplements so will see if that helps at all. What cd are you??

I'm just cd 2, start clomid tomorrow! Taking 1500 mg of epo until ovulation
Is my plan not sure where you are located but we didn't have pressed in our pharmacies for the longest time but finally we do!

I'm cd32 but I didn't ov this cycle. I finished taking provera yesterday prescribed to start my new ( clomid!!) cycle.

I haven't thought to check pharmacies - I'm in the uk. Where are you? I thought I might get pressed from the internet - I'd trust google to find some!!

Do you have many other symptoms from the clomid? Other than very little cm I didn't have any symptoms really so I'm feeling a bit apprehensive about doubling the dose!!

Through out about 2 1/2 years, we took 11 rounds of clomid - I had the worst CM possible. Like, dry as can be! I loved pre-seed (hubby did not) so eventually I wouldn't tell him when we used it and he couldn't tell. Definitely use LESS than what they tell you. You do not need as much as it says on the box or you'll be a goopy mess honestly.

If you're okay with it, try using robitussin to increase your CM. It breaks up mucus EVERYWHERE, including down there, so it makes it less thick and easier for sperm to travel through. Start taking it 5-7 days before you're supposed to O and up to a day afterwards. Take it 2-3x a day. The biggest ingredient you want to look for is Guaifenesin. If you'd rather not take the robitussin, look for other meds that break up mucus like mucinex but MAKE sure that ingredient is on there!

Also, you'll only be doing yourself a favor if you increase your water intake. I started increasing mine because I knew I wasn't drinking enough, and it was amazing the difference. One of my friends on here has only started to increase her water intake and she said the difference is noticeable not only by her, but by her DH as well. Good luck!

I do have other symptoms, K4th. Hot flashes being my biggest complaint. My periods have become WAY heavier, WAY shorter, and WAY worse cramps.

My first cycle was heavier - The rest of them were light, and short. I chalked that up to the fact that clomid thins your lining. I would try taking it a few days earlier honestly. And, mix it with water! Flavor it if you have too - I'm one of those lucky women that crave water like some crave ice cream. I used to hate it, but forced myself to drink more, now my body just wants it!

I'd not heard of robitussin for cm before this thread. I'm going to give that a try too.

Sammy - my AF got longer on my first rounds of clomid. Not heavier really but just hung around for ages! Over 7 days sometimes - hadn't really chalked it up to the clomid until you mentioned length of af. Are you bring monitored ?

I didn't have any noticeable cm when I was on 50mg of clomid and I conceived my son on the 1st cycle so try not to worry too much. Have u tried pre seed? There's also another one but I can't remember the name, it's in a pink tube

My first cycle at 50mg I also took Mucinex from AF to O. Didn't notice much of a difference from my regular months. This cycle is 100mg and I also took mucinex after AF to O and noticed more fertile cm then usual. I'm also taking Folic acid, CoQ10, and B-complex. Praying it works!
