So we saw the FS again today - :happydance: i'm relieved to say that DH has what i can only call "super" sperm!!!! His results we're brilliant, all barring the mentioning of some antibody which is usually only present in men with a low count - despite asking several times and thinking we understood we're still not sure - any clues????

Also i've been told i need a lap and dye.....the procedure has been explained fine and i fully understand however i am sooooo nervous!!!! I have never been in hospital myself nor have i ever had an anaesthetic and i am pooping it!!!!! Can some of you ladies that have has this done share your stories and help me rest my nerves.
Not sure when it will b but prob will be in the new year - and i feel very worried about the whole going into hospital and being put under anaesthetic!!!!! :dohh:

Hey my lovely, excellent news about dh !!! my other half was told his sperm were super spermies too,and would he even consider sharing them!!!lol

The positive way to look at the lap,is that they will be able to see everything & notice any problems if any chick, I know a few people who have had them, and they said they were sore for a few days after. xxxx

Hey! dont worry Hun! Lap & Dye is a very simple procedure, u have nothing to worry abt. I had it done last month and like u it was the first time being in a hospital. I was really nervous but felt very happy afterwards to have it done, becuz it was simple and gives u peace of mind. Whatever the results are atleast u will be moving forward.

In terms of the procedure, the only thing u feel is the anaesthesia flooding through ur viens and the next thing u know ur already done with everything. Afterwards u may feel a little sick or have slight pain in ur shoulder, but they give u pain killers. I had slight pain in my shoulders, but the other ladies who had it done the same time as me in the hospital were all walking around and enjoying their tea in no time at all.

So please don't worry abt a thing.

Its great news abt the SA results. Good luck with ur results.

If u have any questions i am here :)

Hi Butterflies

I haven't been for the lap and dye but know it will need to be carried out in the next couple of months. Please don't worry about it though, I have read other people's experiences and they mostly seem fine with some soreness in some people afterwards but nothing too bad. It is only a day procedure so it can't be too bad, having a general is no problem either, one minute you are joking with the anethetist and the next thing you know you are waking up.

I've had 3 laps - although all before I was TTC (for endo).

Don't worry, you will be absolutely fine. General anaesthetic is a little weird I guess but you wont really know much about it. Once they inject you with the anasthetic, it doesn't take long for everything to go hazy. The weird thing for me is, when I come round it feels like about a second after they knocked me out - it doesnt feel the same as falling asleep.

Anyway, my experiences have all been fine. Afterwards I was absolutely shattered and had some aching in my shoulders - (apparently that's not uncommon, where a small bit of gas that they put into you hasn't got out.), and was a bit sore and uncomfortable for a good couple of days or so.

Anyway, if you want to know anything else or want more detail about what happens etc, let me know hun.

Great news about OH's SA. xxx

You girls on here are just the best for advice!!!! :hugs: all round!

I'm happy to be having it done - just feeling nervous about it all, which i'm sure will only get worse once i actually have an appt booked. I think whats making it worse is the thought of having to tell certain people eg work, parents etc. They don't know we're TTC!!!!!!! Anyone got any good excuses/alternative explanations?????????

I'm still over the moon for DH, its such a huge weight off our minds!!! Not to mention a big lift to his confidence. He says they just need a sat-nav so we have nick named our tom tom "sperm nav!!!"
