We have been TTC for one year using ovulation kits and without success. I have had a clear HSG test and my post ovulation progesterone levels indicate ovulation. This past month my MD decided it was time for Clomid 50mg.

My cycles were long but pretty regular prior to clomid at around 34-35 days. Which stinks bc I have to wait longer than most before I would even ovulate in each cycle. Well this first month on Clomid was great bc I got my positive smiles on the Clear Blue Easy Ovulation kit on days 12 and 13, indicating I would ovulate on day 14.

On day 21 I got my progesterone level drawn at the MDs office and it was 16.8.

Day 28(9/30) has come and gone with no AF. I have had sore breasts since then but no other symptoms but slight cramping the morning of 9/30.

Of course I couldnt wait much longer, I tested on day 29 and 30 which were negative.

Now I am here just waiting for something to happen!!! Could it be the Clomid making it late even though I had a clear ovulation on day 14?

I'm wondering the same thing, nursestark! First cycle on clomid and I'm currently 3 days late with my period but getting BFNs every day for the last week! I'm having weird dreams, sharp uterine pinches, and an accelerated heartbeat... all of which could be clomid OR pregnancy I guess... but the late AF is really throwing me!

Just found a bunch of forum comments on babycenter that indicate that many women experience late periods on clomid. Awesome. :(

Yeah... I found those 2. My plan is to try and wait it out till Monday and call the MD about maybe a blood test if it doesn't show up by then.

Well AF came today at work. Hard to hold back the disappointment while but trying hard. So i guess cycle #2 on clomid will start Sunday.

Good luck to you and keep me updated :)

Ohhhh I'm so disappointed for you. :( I'm sorry nurse!! Sending good energy for a great next cycle, and yes, I'll certainly keep you posted!

I just wanted to say that on my first month on Clomid my period was late due to a chemical pregnancy. I was so excited because the doctors told me on day 21 that I did not ovulate well, then I got a positive test on day 35 and practically the next day I bled so heavy :( Commonly a late period is a chemical pregnancy, many women just are not aware because they are not paying attention to their cycles.

Well, the waiting is over at last - at 6 days late, my period finally showed up. Damn Clomid. My cycle is NEVER so long and I wasn't prepared for that side effect! I was obviously disappointed but here's to the next try! A hot springs date and some sushi is in my future for sure :)

So sorry to hear AF arrived :( 6 days late definately sucks. I'm on round 2 at 50mg of clomid and got my positive ovulation kit smiles yesterday and today so fingers crossed! Will get my progesterone checked again on day 21. Are you starting another cycle on clomid??
