Just wondering what you lot pull together for a lazy meal time with your little one, where you're not pulling a dinner together from scratch or steaming vegetable... Or am I the only lazy one here? :haha:

My boy loves the Tesco Little Plum Yum biscuits

We are only just starting out but for us a lazy day is banana but she doesn't eat it. Just plays with it and if I'm lucky she might lick it once. :dohh:

used to be toast, or banana, breadsticks, crackers with dairylea etc. cant get away with that now though. lol x

LO is too young for me to be comfortable with anything. I eye the toddler fingerfood (and their ingredients!) in the store. It's hard to ifnd pre-packaged food in the US that's decent.

I prefer mass-producing things and freezing them.

Our lazy day foods are fruit and anything that will take something spreadable (crumpets, toast, rice cakes).

I've also discovered smoothies recently (and as a result my daughter probably eats way too many of them!). I buy the pouches of pureed fruit (ella's kitchen ones, usually), then mix about 1/3-1/2 of the pouch with an equal amount of natural yogurt and a splash of milk. I cut a normal adult straw in half so it's smaller and she'll drink it out of a small cup if I hold the cup for her (otherwise it just gets chucked on the floor). It's basically my answer to fruit yogurt pots. She won't accept a spoon, even if I give it to her, so I made yogurt drinkable. Obviously, you can blend your own smoothies from fresh fruit too (and sometimes I do), but this makes it quick and easy and no kitchen equipment needed.

And while it does involve cooking (but minimal), I also buy fresh stuffed pasta (raviolis, torteloni, etc.), then divide it into individual servings in sandwich bags at home and freeze. Then if I have nothing else, I just boil it quickly in a pot and serve. Obviously, you still have to cook (well, boil water), but there's cheese, meat and veg in there, and it's good finger food, and it only takes a couple minutes and only one relatively clean pot to scrub up after.

Eggs have always been my go-to meal when I'm being lazy. Scrambled, fried or omelettes all go down well and are healthy enough.

Breadsticks and rice cakes with humous.

Low salt low sugar beans on toast.

Shop bought quiche :-/ is that bad!?

I don't know how bad shop bought quiche is cheska but I give dd it too  I bought it for me and one day when we were in a rush and she'd already had toast for brekkie so didn't want her to have a sandwich I thought ooooh just give her a bit of quiche. She loved it! But I do know that it's probably high in salt so I intend on making one (though there are so many things I intend on doing that never get done!!)

To the op, I tend to have veggies ready cooked in the fridge that can just be heated so when I'm being lazy I can just give her some of them, or some salad veggies like cucumber, tomato and peppers with tuna flakes from a tin (in spring water though not brine or oil).
