Olivia is now almost 5 weeks old, and has 5oz bottles of Aptamil. During the day, she tends to feed every 3 to 4 hours, but just lately, she seems almost to be a bit lazy with her feeds.
Most of the time, she will take 2 oz then fall asleep for 30 to 45 mins........then she wakes up screaming for the rest, but after maybe half an oz, she seems to get bored of it.
We're getting a bit frustrated, because at times, she seems to be feeding every hour, but only taking tiny amounts. She'll scream for her bottle, then have such a tiny amount, we wonder what all her fuss was about!!!
Does anyone have any tips for us to try? We'd really like to try & get her to take the majority of her bottle in one go.

Thanks,

The first rthing I would suggest is moving up a flow size on the teat. Falling asleep can be a sign the flow is too slow :)

I had the same problems with Seren and I know how you feel it's a nightmare! She is better now but what we used to do is strip her off to her vest if she fell asleep or do a nappy change or something just to get her more alert, then try and give her the rest of the bottle. We also changed teats to variflow which helped a bit. Seren also gets sleepy if shes windy.

Tyler had a phase of this and we would change him in the middle of his feed and that would wake him up abit and hed manage to finish the bottle then xx

I BF but Byron has had lazy times when he has been fussy and snoozy about feeds. Perhaps it's phases they go through however they are fed?

I would do as someone else recommended and try changing her to wake her up. Hannah went through some periods where she would prefer to eat a little bit every hour and honestly we ended up just waiting out the 3-4 hours before giving her the next one and it usually straightened her schedule back out
