I've recently decided to learn to drive. Zanes school is miles away from our house so the school run literally takes up my whole day.

I'm exhausted from just being a mum and now this :/ feeling so drained. Any other mummies learning to drive? We can give each other some moral support lol

I already drive but just wanted to say good luck :hugs: xx

I had my 3rd and 4th lesson today, so made it a two hour lesson. I messed up twice but did a hell of a lot. I'm so drained :/
I can't give up because it will make my life so much easier. But erghh I could just throw myself to the floor and have a full on paddy right now lol

When I learned I done double lessons and it takes a lot out you. Definitely don't give up now that you've started, it's expensive enough as it is. That was a mistake I made, I started learning when I was 18 but the instructor was so sarcastic that I just stopped. I didn't go back to it for years but even when I hated it and had week after week of messing up I kept at it. You'll get there and it will be so worth it when you do.

I was without my car for a few days last week and it was a nightmare getting my son to the childminder and then to work. A journey that normally takes 15 minutes took over an hour xx

Yeah the school run in the morning and afternoon in a car would talk half an hour, tops. On the bus I leave the house at 2.20 and don't get home till 4.30.
I've also bought my car, so that's my inspiration.
Can't give up now, anything to make my life abit easier

I need two buses aswell. It's expensive and horrible, especially when raining.
How many lessons have u done so far and how's it going?

I'm learning. Have been learning for nearly 2 years. At the moment, I spend all my time on buses :/ Leave the house at 6.30am, get Connor to nursery for 7.15am, then only just make it to uni for 9am. Then if I finish at 4, I won't get home till 6.30pm. it's exhausting.
I found driving so hard. Hence the 2 years. But, I can see the light, I've found an instructor who specialises in learning disabilities (I don't have LD, but because I struggled so much, thought his approaches would help) and he's amazing! My test is booked for April (fingers crossed!).
Don't give up! Good luck xx

It's all about the right instructor. Glad u found the right one, finally.
Good luck on ur test, let us know how you get on

I only just passed my test back in December :) it's so much ether being able to go where you want, when you want! Good luck :) xx

That's what I'm most looking forward to. Going the shop, school run won't be a major task and we can take so many more trips at the weekends.
I've also bought my dream car which is currently sat on my drive lol depressing to see it, so that's really giving me the motivation I've been lacking

Good luck! I couldn't live without my car!

good luck!

im currently saving to do the week pass of driving lessons where you drive for 40 hours in a week then do your test at the end.
im terrible with lesson. always starting then giving up but now im on my own i need the Independence!

I couldn't do the week thing. Too worried if spend all that money and fail lol
Good luck, hope u pass!
