I am going to a wedding at the weekend and will have to leave my baby after the first feed in the morning! She is 14 weeks old and would usually BF at least 6 times a day. I am going to bring my pump with me but was wondering how many times would I need to express? I usually last 10hrs at night without feeding her, so maybe if I feed her at 7am I would only have to express once mid afternoon and then someone is going to bring her to me after the meal maybe 8pm, so I can feed her. Do you think just expressing once and then feeding twice would be ok or would I feel like I am going to explode? I never feel full except first thing in the morning, I sometimes even think I dont have enough milk

I think you might just have to go off of how you feel, I would personally try and pump more. Especially if she goes 10hrs at night, that will already be a long time without nursing, then to only have it like 3 times in a period of 24hrs your supply could drop some. But if yo uthink it would be ok I would go off how you feel, if your engorged and sore maybe pump another time or something.

Could it decrease just by the lack of feeding for one day? I am part of the bridal party so it is going to be difficult to get chances to express but I will try any opportunity I get. I will prob have to express during the middle of the night I suppose aswell when i get home. Am going to be using my electric pump for the first time with Batteries so not sure how that will be, hopefully as powerful as using the mains

Mine would go up and down over just one days feedings, not sure if it does for everyone so. Like if my supply dropped I could take fenugreek for one day or drink lots more water and the next day it would be better. And if he was sick or had an off day and barely nursed it would drop some. Might be diff for you though.

I would pump the same times as you would feed as night is different to day and your body understands it needs to make less at night as baby sleeps through xxx
