Licorice Root?

Has anyone had any success with licorice root? I have a friend who swears by it and says it is how she conceived both her babies. How do you use it? Do you have to start at a certain time during your cycle? Any other success stories??

I'm waiting for af to show so I can try it next month. We started trying for our second child 18 months ago and we've conceived and miscarried 5 times since then (First at 11 1/2 weeks and the others at 5-6 weeks). All my tests of course are coming back normal so I'm trying the alternative route.

Also I have pcos but I had no problems conceiving and carrying my dd now 4 years. I am 35 pounds heavier (was 105 now 140 and I'm 5' 1" bmi 27.4) and I'm almost 35 years old so I have everything crossed this licorice root will work next cycle. I'll let you know what happens.
