My midwife feeding specialist saw me just and spent a lot of time going through positioning and latch. She gave me lots of tips and I actually latchef him on my sore boob with very little pain. She also said I may have a bit of thrush which will stop it healing. So I'm beginning to think that there is a way forward now. This morning I was in despair but now I have hope :)

That's great news hun (not about the thrush obviously)

It was such a struggle for me in the early days. I cried and cried and hated BFing.

But ladies here and breastfeeding counsellors abs a bf group near me always managed to lift my spirits enough to keep going and now I'm so glad I did!!

It feels like forever when you're going through it but suddenly my tiny baby is a "big girl" (to me anyway) and those hard days are a distant memory.

So yes - I promise there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And if you find yourself in another tunnel there will be a light at the end of that one too! Xxx

Thankyou ladies :)
Just had thrush confirmed at docs. So happy to have thrush as It means that I can treat it and I'm on the road to pain free (hopefully!) Breastfeeding! Little man doesn't like his medicine - he pulls such a funny face! The worst part is I have to wash the cream off my nipples before a feed which is really painful
