Im so desperate to loose weight!! Im feeling so shit about myself its unreal so i have officially decided that i have to do either one of the above...i just want to loose weight asap!...Im definatly commited!...question is...what is the difference between the 2?! Do they both work? Is the diet plan exactly the same?!...I know Lighter life is alot more expensive!...

Any info would be appreciated and any of you that can share your experiences! Thankyou xx

i was on the cambridge diet before getting pregnant, it didnt make me feel too well. I had 3 shakes a day. 1 at 8am, 1 at 12pm and 1 at 7pm. Thats all i lived off, those and lots and lots of water. I managed to loose 7lb in the first week and 3lb in the next, really good for quick rapid weight loss but as i said, it made me feel very poorly. Tired, hormonal and DESPERATE to chew on food!!! Its worth giving it a go even if its just for a week because you will loose 5-7lbs in the first week, then see how you get on :)

Lighter life is £60 a week and cambridge is £30-40 a week.

I did cambridge for 4 weeks and now on WW, Im much more happier and still loosing weight

i lost over 4 stone on the cambridge diet, its cheaper, and you only have a one to one session with a councellor, just to talk about how you feel

lightlife is a lot more money, plus they dont have as many flavous as CD, and you are more likely to get bored with it, and its a group councelling session you go to weekly!

I love the CD and after iv had my son will be going back on it again, it is hard, but if like me you have the determination then you will do it,

i would say tho, CD is a diet for someone who is totally serious about losing weight, its a lot of money to go and cheat, some think you can have the shakes and still have the odd chocolate bar! that isnt how it works lol, for me after id had my daughter and piled on ovver 4 stone, i tried every diet going, i needed a diet that cut out food altogether, i lost 3 stone in 3 months, the last stone was a pain to get off, but when you start introducing food again the weight loss is going to slow down, i vauled food so much after i did that diet, i didnt over eat, and would only allow myself a small treat, i kept the weight off for over 2 years, and always said if i was to pile it back on it would be if i get pregnant! and i was right haha

Good Luck in whatever you decide

Thanks girls!...Cambridge diet it is ...alot cheaper than lighter life and looking at how well some of the girls have done on it i think they have inspired me! Thanks girls xx

I also recommend CD, having tried WW and SW. It's hard going at times but hopefully worth it. I have a sweet tooth so when I'm craving sugar I have something sweet like the Butterscotch shake, and then in the evenings something savory e.g oriental chili soup.

my Mum did the LL diet and lost over 4 stone in 4 months - It was more expensive than the CD but she felt she would actually benefit from the counselling which was conducted by a qualified doctor who specialised in eating disorders.

Hope that it all goes well whatever you choose. xx

i would recommend the cambridge diet not just cos im a counsellor LOl but for lots of other reasons

its cheaper
there are a larger variety of flavours
one to one meetinga with your counsellor

i do disagree though with comment above dont do it for a week for a kick start becuase the second u go back to SW or WW u will gain your weigt back as you havent followed the correct stabilisation programme!
if u have any other questions hun feel free to pm me and good luck whatever journey u decide to take, i hope u feel happier with yourself soon
