hello ladies ive shared this story in the 3rd trimester as i didnt know there was a forum for birth anouncments but now i do i thought id share my story
i had a liver transplant feb23rd2011 and my pregnancy was not planed but after much worry i was told by doctors i cud carry on with my pregnancy.
i was considered very high risk due to the meny meds im on due to the transplant and also my seizures.
most of my pregnancy was fine but wen i hit 32 wks problems started with high blood presure pluss my bile acid numbers keped rising and i was itching like crazy. i was admited into hospital at 35 weeks because i was getting alot of pain and my blood presure was very high. at 35+4 days they decided to induce my labour. luckily i was already 2 cm dilated so all they had to do is break my waters. i was then given a epidural but not because i was in pain because they wanted me to have it to lower my blood presure. the epidural i had u had to use a button to make it work and it really helped with the first part of labour because i cud not feel the contractions. but then it wore off and i really started to feel the contractions really low down in the foof and bum area IT WAS AGONY. i was in labour for 2hrs and 24mins. And after wat seemed for ever of agonising pushing my baby was finaly born.
we named her Lilly-Nevaeh May and she was born at 15:24 on saturday 19th jan 2013 and she weighed 5lb 7oz
it was love at first site but sadly she was taken out of my arms soon after the birth because i was bleeding very very heavy and i had to b rushed to theatre for a op to stop the bleeding. i was put to sleep for the op and wen i came around lilly was not there as she was taken to SCBU
i had to stay in hospital for just over a week after the birth but i visited lilly every day while i was in there, she was quit ill and at one point i really thought we were gonna lose her. But the team in SCBU were amazing and they got lilly well again and after a 16 day stay in SCBU she was finaly aloud home
i am just so incredibly gratfull for this wonderfull little tiny miricle i really do feel totaly blessed and i love her with all my heart
she is almost 5 weeks old now and weighs 6lb 11oz. she is such a good baby and i am so happy and so thankfull
here is some photos of her ive taken this week
