List of test names... let's collaborate!

So I may be finding out the sex in the next few weeks (if our insurance covers the panorama DNA testing)

And before that happens I want to have some fun with the old wives tales and "tests". I'd love to get a list going of different ones!

So the ones I know...

Ramzi (location of placenta at about 6 weeks)

Cabbage (what color the cabbage water turns when you pee in it)

Heartbeat rate (higher heartbeat rate means girl)

Chinese Gender Prediction Chart

Pillow Game (no idea what the actual name is) game where the DH writes GIRL on one piece of paper and BOY on another and puts them under pillows. They you come into the room and sit on one.


It doesn't need to be scientific, but I'd love to know where it came from. What other ones do you guys know?

The ring test- tie your ring to a piece of string and hold it over your belly or wrist. If it sways back and forth is a boy if it goes around if circles it's a girl.

Baking soda test- add your urine to a bit of baking soda if it's fizzes up it's a boy if it's doesn't it's a girl.

I love these just for fun as it's so kewl to pass the time instead of driving ourselves insane wanting to know so badly!

So far ramzi, Chinese prediction, cabbage test and ring test have said boy! Only one that says girl is the heartrate test!
