little worried

im a little worried atm about my daughters weight.
breastfeeding has been going really well, no pains or nothing and she seems happy with the odd miserable moment , which is usually down to wind, anyway at her 6week check she weighed 8lbs 4 n today at 11weeks weighs 8lbs 8 so in 5 weeks has gained a total of 4oz, even the nurses who did her injections ( they were late cuz we had moved) thought she was a premi cuz they said she looks like a newborn!! shes alert and doing what she should be ect so no worries there n is growing in length a not loads tho but u cant see it cus shes so little weight wise. at the mo im waiting on a hv to ring n make an apt to come see her, n weigh her again ect but im just a lil worried. any one else just have a slow gainer?

have you upped the calories your eating ? if your diet is low Cal it can make it hard for your LO to gain weight,
how often is she feeding? if shes otherwise happy i wouldnt worry hun some babies just gain weight slowly so long as they do keep making gains however small they are then its good

i wouldnt know how many calories im eating, im sure more than i use too as i snack more now, and finish my meals a bit better, breastfeeding makes me hungry, i know im eating more because i eat more than my hubby now which is saying something

i feed her when she wants it, sometimes it can be twice in an hr sometimes shel go 4hrs inbetween, i just feed on demand, n when she comes off the breast i wind her andif sdhes settled i leave her if shes happy but little aggitated i offer 2nd boob which sometimes shel take sometimes she wont. i dont know how often she feeds at night as we cosleep and i just put her on boob whenever she fusses n we both go back to sleep, sometimes shes feeding sometimes just kinda nibbling.

yeah she seems happy, she smiles alot, coos alot ect, n only has maybe one outburst a day sometimes shel eat then but normally its because shes overtired or windy!

thanks hun il try not to worry and see what hv says. im just worried they are going to say go to formula!
