Hey ladies

Does anyone have any ideas how i can stop my little boy turning 180 degree's in his sleep. We hvae him swaddled at the moment as it settles him and i am worried he is going to hurt himself.. i have put bumpers around the cot (tied very tightly) as he kept bumping his head on the bars!

Any ideas?!?

Thanks xxxxx

I can recommend a sleep positioner. The exact one I have doesn't seem to be available anymore, but here's a link to something similar: https://www.amazon.co.uk/First-Years-Nature-Sensations-Positioner/dp/B000HK89GA

Alex has had one since birth and so he's never moved at all. We went to a friend's house the other day and she let me put Alex in her baby's cot for a nap. When I went to get him after an hour, he was all wedged up in the corner!! I think he was really confused! x

Why not just leave LO to it?

We swaddled Anna til she was about 12wks or so and she was able to get out of the swaddle. Then we went to a sleeping bag and just leave her to do what she wants - tummy/180 degrees whatever.

I thought the bad thing about bumpers is that LO could push his face up against it and suffocate? OK, thats why I dont use one. I actually thought they were only for decoration too?

I just let her get on with it :D

She does bang her head quite a bit lol....but never hard, mostly doesn't even wake her! (Am I a bad mummy?!)

You can get Air Wrap, which we have - an aerated bumper.

We have the Safe T Sleep wrap, stops baby from rolling and moving around and keeps them nice and snuggly too. It's worked amazingly well for us, got it from safetots.co.uk.

I agree - let her get on with it. Ethan is here there everywhere in his cot! Sometimes we here a little 'bump' but he never wakes up or cries or anything so it clearly doesn't hurt him.

Air wrap works for us, because on the odd occasion, DD has got her foot/hand/arm/leg stuck in the cot bars and got very distressed. I like the fact it's breathable :ok:
