My LO is nearly 9 months and on 3 meals a day, weaning well established. But while friends with similar aged babies are saying their LOs want less milk, LO still drains her bottles and doesn't seem close to wanting to drop a feed. In fact, she cries for her milk!

She's on 4 feeds a day, 2 7oz and 2 6oz. I'm getting her weighed next week but last time she was weighed 6 wks ago, she was fine.

Seems about right I reckon! My LO is ten months and although he has dropped bottles, most days he'll still drink three 8oz bottles as well as eating like a dustbin. Is your LO mobile? I've noticed a HUGE increase in the amount of calories my LO wants since he's been crawling and cruising.

Thanks girls. Yes, LO has started crawling and have noticed she's more frantic for her milk since. You know when other LOs seem to be doing something your LO doesn't though? It makes you paranoid!

4 bottles is normal. Until 1 ilk is their main source of nutrition. I'd stop paying attention to other people's babies and just concentrate on your little one :)

Sounds good to me!

My LO is about 13 months, and she has 4 6oz bottles (or sippy cups usually now) of milk/formula a day (we do 1/2 formula and 1/2 whole milk).

She eats 3 meals a day plus snacks in addition to the milk, and eats a LOT. I would only consider lowering the milk if it affected her solid food intake, but it hasn't. She's petite and SO ACTIVE so I figure she needs all the food she wants!

We dropped down to 4 bottles around 8-9 months and down to 3 bottles maybe at 10.5 months. But I'd say that sounds perfectly normal. They really eat a lot when they start crawling, so I wouldn't expect it to decrease too much just yet.
