Hi all!

I'm hoping to find some bump buddies in my area. I'm in Toronto, but if you're anywhere in the province, that's great! :) Would like to chat and swap stories, and if you're close enough maybe get together in person now and then.

I'm due late January 2014--happy to include anyone who's in the vicinity (say, December 2013 through February 2014). This will be my first. I'm married, 32 years old... Not sure what else you'd want to know! Looking forward to getting to know more of you!

Hi! I'm in Ottawa and due December 1st 2013.

This will be my second child, my first born is almost 5years-old. I'm 28 and married as well.

Glad to see others from this region can chat about this special time in our lives!

Hi! Great to meet a fellow Ontarionian on the boards. :)

December 1st--you're almost out of the first trimester then! How's everything been going so far? Does your first know the new baby's coming yet?

Yes shortly getting to my second trimester..... I can't wait! All is well with me so far, had a bit of ms at the beginning but now I'm fine.

How are you? Have you announced your pregnancy yet?

My little guy doesn't know yet... all he knows is that he can't push my belly and that he's grown too big for me to pick him up!

Hi Ladies!!!

I am Hamilton area.

January 18th is the date aimed for!

Congrats on the second trimester! Is it true....do you get some of your energy back. I am constantly exhausted

I'm doing pretty well... A little run down physically with symptoms (fatigue plus ms plus pregnancy brain is not a great combination for getting anything done, heh) but just glad to be here. :) I've told my parents about the pregnancy, but we're waiting to share the news widely until the second trimester. You?

Your due date is very close to mine, then! I certainly hope the energy comes back--like you, I never feel like I've gotten enough sleep.

Is this your first, too, then? :)

Second pregnancy...but hopefully first baby. Cautiously enjoying any sign or symptom.

I'm in the exact same position. It can be pretty nerve-wracking! Are you planning on getting an early scan? I didn't know anything was wrong in my last pregnancy until I got one at 8 1/2 weeks because of spotting (MMC where the baby had stopped developing much earlier) so I'm getting one around 8 weeks this time just to check in on things. Don't think I could handle not knowing! But cautiously optimistic. :)

I am not able to get a scan until 10+4 so June 26th. It is driving me insane. Its the only slot i was given by my midwife office. I was originally scheduled for June 21st. Then they called yesterday to change it. I reminded them I miss carried in January and was quite nervous...it didn't make a difference.

I'm sorry to hear that. :( I'm hoping to get a scan next early next week (meeting my midwife for the first time this Thursday and plan to set it up then), but there's an ultrasound clinic nearby that even does same day walk-ins if you have a referral, so it's easier to get in. It's been hard enough just waiting this long! So I can imagine how frustrated you are. Have you gotten a doppler? You might be able to pick up the heartbeat before then, which would provide a little reassurance.

My only issue with the doppler is the constant obsession with checking. It doesn't really help build mental strength. If it happens it happens right. We just have to have faith.
