Long cycle & short periods- doc says not fertile

Hi guys

I have been off the pill since August now, have had 3 periods, each 1 day. Cycle average 37 days. We were trying to chart/avoiding fertile times. But after two periods...the length of cycle was making it a bit tricky

I use an online charting thing and roughly go by it. My GP says not to bother wasting time with that as its clear I am not fertile anyway. Going to see the endocrinologist next week so hopefully they can tell me if we need to avoid fertile times...or not..

All a bit confusled!! Anyone else have long cycles & short periods? Mine usually lasts anything from 12 hours to 30 hours tops.

I can't really help but didn't want to read and run.....I just wanted to say it would have taken everything I have not to slap my GP in the face for being so blunt and insensitive! I hope the endocrinologist can help hun x

I'm not sure....I go 4-5 months without a period. Now I'm just waiting to get health insurance to check it out...
