My family have a thing about using long versions of names then just being known as the short version. (Were also italian)
My grandfathers name was Giaccamo....but he was always known as Jac.
My brothers name is Luigi......but he is known as Loui.
etc etc.

Anyway if i have a boy his name will be Vincenzo....but he'll be known as Vinnie.
I love the name Lola for a girl....but have never heard any longer versions.
Also love Farrah....and again cant think of anything longer.

Might be a long shot but does anyone know of or can think of a longer version i could use for either of those names?

Lola is a dimunitive of Dolores, you could also have Lolita, Dalores, Delora, Delores, Deloria, Deloris, Dolorcita, Dolorcitas, Dolorita, Doloritas. Not sure if of these appeal.

Can't think of any for Farrah though.

What about Lourdes for Lola?

Farrah.......................... Kind of stuck there. Sorry. :flower:

All I could think was Lolita and that just makes me think of the dodgy book and film and usual connotation

Good suggestions above:)

Love Vincenzo btw

Lolita was what popped into my head too, think its lovely, and Lola is one of my all time faves.

Love your name choice of Lola :winkwink: :winkwink: see my signature!

I'd go with Dolores if I was you as thats where the name comes from...but as for myself I'm just going with Lola xx

Think im gonna have to aswell!
Lolita sounds cheap i think (god i hope i dont cause offence to anyone by sayin that....its my personal opinion)
And im not a fan of any of the Dolores etc

:( Oh well xx

Possible other alternatives for Lola:

Loletta
Lorita
Lalita (instead of Lolita)

I can't think of anything for Farrah without just making something up, although it does make me think of Faraday but that's just way too geeky!
