looking for advice after losing 2 babies

hi everyone im jenny im new to the site. i am looking for advice.june of last year i miscarried my first baby at 7 weeks but didnt find out till 10 weeks that our baby had died had to have a d & c,then became pregnant again 2mths later and lost my second baby at 8 weeks.been trying ever since to become pregnant again and no luck, getting really frustrated cant understand how became pregnant twice but its not happening now. can anybody give me advice its been 14mths since i was last pregnant.any help wud be appreciated.

Hi Jenny,

I have had 3 M/Cs. I then went to a fertility consultant, had all the blood tests but they couldn't find anything wrong. I was advised to take aspirin 75mg and ended up having a beautiful daughter who is now 1.

What i did find is that after each of my pregnancies/M/Cs my cycles seemed to change. I bought a Clearblue fertility monitor and that helped me to realise that i actually ovulate later than i thought.

Are you using any kind of OPK?

hi marie thankx for your reply. yeah ive been on asprin for the past 6 years due to a blood clotting problem. how did u go about seeing a fertility consultant? did u go through your gp or go privately . i done a couple ovulation tests and i seem to be ovualting around day 16 -17 so its a bit later than normal.im just really concerned why i havent been able to become pregnant since i lost our last baby 14 mths ago.

have you tried temping? opks is the shorthand for ovulation tests - for some people they work great but not for me so i temp chart instead using a digital thermometer and fertility friend website, I got referred by my GP to fertility clinic x

Hi hunny. I've had 2 losses too and found it really hard getting pregnanct the second time aroudn (times 1 and 3 were v easy). It sounds corny but the month I got my second bfp, I had almost given up on trying and was so blase about it all. Then I couldnt believe it when it happened

I have a cbfm which was really useful pinpointing ovulation

Ive also had fertility testing. I cried to my doctor and got referred to the mc specialist at the hospital and was tested really quickly. Itw as comforting knowign all was well

My hubby had a sperm analysis done too. You just request this from your doctor, its dead easy to get. I would suggest your hubby does one if not already. taking zinc supplements can improve sperm quality

hi, thankx so much for replying, congratulations on becoming pregnant. got my doctor to send a letter to the hospital asking for them to start tests so hopefully that will get started too, getting so stressed over it and upset every month wen get period. think ill get my husband to go for sperm testing too it cant do any harm, i just want to know if theres something wrong. anyway thankyou again for your help. x

Hi i just thought i would post as i had 2 Mc's at around 7 weeks a few months apart and i thought that there must be some major problem, i was lucky enough to catch again a few months after though and i thought i best dare not get excited but little bundle is now 19 months old so 3rd time lucky it was for me, dont give up hope hunny xxx
