Looking for encouragement PLEASE DO POLL!!

So sorry for posting here :S

I lost my baby at 13w5d and had my d n c last week. I was curious (because the internet offers too many different sources and answers) and i was curious how long it took you to get another bfp?
Oh doesnt want to concieve right away..but im scared to miss my extra fertile window (hes scared and on the fence so hoping this helps to sway him to lets give it a go) if i can show that we are more fertile after miscarriage.

Im counting first cycle one you get first period.

We skipped 1 month, per dr. orders, and conceived the month after that. Hope this helps you

I've had 2 mc. With the first mc, Dr told us after the first period we could try and we got a BFP that cycle. (delivered a healthy DD) Six years passed-- With the second, we tried for over a year, I had the surgery to see if I had endo and I did, they removed it and after the surgery we got BFP on cycle 3. That was 13 months after our last mc.

I really think that if you didn't have a problem getting your first BFP then getting your second BFP shouldn't be an issue. I think with all the time passing I developed the endo. HTH. Good luck

It took us 9 months of ttc to get a bfp so im a little worried. Thanks girls

My MMC was removed in Dec '10, first period in Jan '11 and got this BFP in May '12, we were just about to start IVF with ICSI.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss

With our first miscarriage, we didn't try for a month afterwards, then it took another five cycles to get a BFP (I suspect this was down to stress - the loss really knocked me sideways and I had to get counselling).

With the second loss, which was a MMC, I had an ERPC on 4th January, but it took until after my first period (which was really odd and contained lumps of tissue - sorry if TMI) to get a negative HPT. We waited for one more period, just to check it was normal after the previous weird one, and then got a BFP our first month of trying, which was my second cycle after the negative HPT.

It took me almost two years post-mc to get another positive, but it was a sticky (see avatar picture); incidentially, was 43 when conceived/44 when delivered -- so there is hope for us/all older mums!

Curious of those who got a bfp fairly quickly did u start to show sooner because ur uterus was maybe still a little bigger or because your body knew what to do (like after another full term pregnancy?)

Firstly so sorry for your loss, hope you are recovering well.

with MMC last october everyone advised us to wait a month or two, so we did. we did not conceive again or really try until a couple of months ago. had chemical pregnancy last month, decided to try again right away and and now positive 24 days into cycle! Think i might have ovulated earlier.

If you feel ready to try, go for it! and remember cycle might be a bit different than normal. I think a combination of the horomones and the eager, very regular, well timed sex after a MC may help the poll results.

In July 2011 I got pregnant with my 4th pregnancy which was 3 years after my 3rd son. Had 3 in office scans and 1 scan done in the ultrasound dept, had gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole end of sept 2011 I had d&e.

Was waiting for my period to come but week 14 and 15 I landed in the ER and found out I was miscarrying. The only time I could have gotten pregnant was around week 10 while I was waiting for my period to come. This was my 2nd loss 5th pregnancy in Jan 2012.

I had 2 periods. 3 days after the 2nd period ended I had sex and got pregnant with my 6th pregnancy Mar 2012. I did not plan any of my pregnancies. We are an "if it happens it happens" kind of couple. I was always told to wait at least 2-3 months if I was trying but I wasn't.

June 2012 I had a scan and my babys heart had just stopped within 24 hours or so. I was 13.2 weeks had a repeat scan a day before my d&e I was 14 weeks when I had my d&e.

I've had three mmc's but I did the poll for my first which was a bfp before I had a cycle.

After the second it took me one cycle after af.

Third, (this miracle) 2 cycles but I waited three months.
