My name is Amy, I am 22 weeks pregnant and having to see a specialist. My daughter and I are labeled high risk. She is 4 weeks behind in growth. They thought it was a dating issue but turns out the dates are right. I was told her chances for survival were minimal at best...so we decided on an amnio.
She is fine and even tried to grab and kick the needle. Her heartbeat is good, organs are good, she moves everyday. The first parts of the results came back - 21st, 13th, 18th, and fragile x all good...is she really doomed? Can she manage to pull out of this with sheer willpower? Could she be a late bloomer and still pack on some weight?
At my 19 week scan she was only 6oz...I know that isnt a good sign...but she is so fiesty. Im terrified to never feel her move again, or to go in one day soon and them tell me she is gone .Has anyone had something similar and it be okay? This is a crappy greeting and I apologize. Im just desperate at this point.
