looks like im going to the csa!

ex has no interest in my son, doesn't want access, but said he would pay maintenence, he offered me £100 a month through his solicitor, i refused saying i wanted 15% of his earnings, suprise suprise he refused, so now going through the csa! filled out application just need to post it! anyone know how far they backdate the claim? x

they will backdate it from the day you apply i believe.. so from the day you send the form in i would imagine! x

THEY BACKDATE TO THE DAY THAT THE EX CONFIRMS CHILD IS HIS

I nearly dropped the phone when she told me that on the phone today

Precious and Purp I know that your exs wont be doing that route but for me it looks like I am in for a long haul as I need to go DNA route so prob about a year they told me on the phone before I got any payment! meanwhile this man swans about with his convertible car and 90K a year salary - makes me sick

Precious -cant believe it - I really did have high hopes for your ex (actually have done all this year, just thought he was running scared) now I say get those forms sent and screw him to the bloody wall!

This must be part of new csa then. cause it used to be from the date they recevied ur application for maintenace.

No way, how dumb is that, why dont they backdate for when the child was born, there wankers seriously, what is even the point, no wonder people just give up in the end!!! xxx

its ridic tink yes. I asked to speak to someone else to confirm it and they agreed too.. Its a bloody joke....

I for one are not giving in. I will hunt this man down if I spend the rest of my life doing it. There is no way he should get away with doing what he did and not face up to the responsibility of it all!

OMG sam thats ridiculous. to be quite honest i can see my ex pulling every trick in the book, but as he already offered me maintainence through solicitor, is that not some sort proof that he accepts jake is his son?

im same as you sam, im going to fight this to the end, my son deserves better. makes me sick that he can go on holiday, buy new cars etc while iv got to buy everything for my son.

Must be a new rule as my friend has a 3 year old and it took a good part of a year to get her maintenence sorted (he denied parentage) but it was backdated to when she applied. Her kid is 3 now so must of been in the last 3 years they made this RIDIC rule.

Whats the point?! Its for the kids they should know better!!
