Looseing weight and brest feeding???

Im deffo going to breastfeed this time round im that adament i havent brought any bottles as in so determined, but i want to do slimming world and breast feed im just wondering if any of you lovely ladies did this and lost weight? I want to get down to 10st by next summer as 2015 me and OH are getting married and i dont want to be a fat cow walking down the aisle
 
I really want to lose weight as well, since I do want to have another child in a year or two, and I need to be at a MUCH healthier weight to avoid having pre-eclampsia again and get my VBAC.

I haven't heard much of Slimming World, it's not as popular (although available) here. I don't really know how it works though? They are kind of vague on the website...
 
I went to weight watchers after having my second daughter, who i breastfed exclusively. Both weightwatchers and slimming world allow you more syns or points when breastfeeding as they allow for the extra calories a nursing body requires.

With this pregnancy I was 12st 12 when I attended my 8 week appt with midwife, 14st 3last monday before c-section and this morning I was 12st 4!! I can't believe it - i was trying to lose weight for so long before falling pregnant that i even had thyroid and insulin resistance checks. My baby is only 9 days old so I am hopeful that the weight loss will continue for some time still. My aim is to reach 10stone by christmas.
 
Wow thats a massive difference i just hope i loose it, since being on matleave i have been really healthy, im able to do more cooked dinners as before i just never had the time
 
If you breastfeed you may not need Weight Watchers or Slimming World! Like pp the weight (30lb) fell off me in under two weeks and I'm now a couple of lb below my pre pregnancy weight (although I'd like to lose even more)
 
I exclusively breastfeed. I'm down to about 2lbs above my prepregnancy weight, and I've been there about 5-6 weeks (weight fell off before then). I was overweight before I got pregnant (BMI >30) which put me at increased risk for Pre-E, which I got. I want to lose weight BEYOND prepregnancy weight!
 
I couldn't bf with my first and it took a while to lose my weight.

This time I'm managing to bf with a few ff top ups and the weight is melting away. My son is 19 days old and I fit into loads of my pre pregnancy clothing. Each day I get on the scales there is another lb off! I'm not certain how much I put on as didn't weigh myself the last month of pregnancy but guessing maybe just under 2 1/2 stone. I'm currently 10 lb up from pre pregnancy weight. I've been eating what I want and not done any excersise yet. So bf is doing something!
 
I have done Slimming World whilst breastfeeding- its really good because you can have alot of extra Healthy Extras (dpened son how old baby is to how many you get) Im currently pregnant and rejoined slimming world today and will be continuing throughout and also when this baby is born and breastfeeding :)
 
At my scan appointment (13wks pregnant) I weighed 17st 3. I didn't put on a huge amount whilst pregnant, and now my daughter is 20wks & I weigh 15 st 11. I haven't dieted, and in fact I've recently had major cravings for dark chocolate which I have been "indulging". :haha:

I am going to start cutting back and see what happens, but I'm quite happy to be nearly a stone and a half off my Pre-pregnancy weight. :happydance:
 
I'm doing it at the minute and breastfeeding my baby is 4 weeks old but the weight isn't melting off me :( I want to loss a stone and a half. This is my first week on sw and has been going well, I used to love ww but definitely think sw teaches you a more healthy way of eating x
 
I didn't realise you could do slimming world when breastfeeding. I may start going I lost 2 stone in first 6 weeks of having baba but haven't lost anything since he's now 14 weeks. Got another stone to lose to be per preg weight would like to lose more though! I just lve food too much :( also don't have a lot of money to spend on shopping hard to eat healthy

Yes in both pregnancy and breastfeeding :flower: I love SW.
 
My LC told me not to diet during the first 8 weeks of BF, it might compromise the milk supply.

I gained A LOT during my pregnancy, roughly 20 kilos/44 pounds
I started marginally underweight and was doing fine until I reached 3rd tri. I wasn't eating any different, I just piled the pounds like crazy.
I lost half the weight the first 2 weeks as it was water weight mainly.
Now 7 weeks after birth, I have 6 kilos/ 13 pounds to lose to reach my pre pregnancy weight. So far I haven't diet at all, and only do some walking for shopping, but not daily, and I EBF. Every time baby has a growth leap I lose some more weight, and I can feel it as it makes me feel weak, wobbly on the knees, and dehydrated.
Today I started my pilates class, and next week I will start a "diet", meaning I will just watch what I'm eating, no crisps, no fried food, no sugar.

Slimming world isnt dieting- quite the opposite in fact you can eat loads and it makes sure you get all the nutrients you and baby needs- its how everyone should eat
 
I lost 15 right away, but now not losing anything, but my sugar cravings are probably not helping. I want to lose 25-30 lbs....none of my clothes fit.

Saturday, I am 3 weeks past labor on May 25th...I want to workout...but I heard I should waiy until 6 weeks even though I feel fine.
