Low AMH levels?

I just found out I have low AMH levels 4.5. Yesterday I had lap surgery for endometriosis and the dr found a cyst on one of my ovaries, she indicated that maybe this was why my AMH levels were low. I am wondering if anyone else has experience with this? I have never heard of a cyst lowering hormone levels and I didn't realize AMH levels were so important! I have been looking it up online and it seems like IVF will have to be our next step..so discouraged

I saw a thread on here where the lady had low amh had a cyst removed had her amh retested and it came back normal!

Hi Apple25, I had a Laproscopy in September, they gave me AMH of 8, low for my age (30) they removed a cyst from my right ovary and a D&C, they did not find endo. The doc also told me this was probably the reason for my low amh and was confident it was the reason we had not conceived the last four years! I was very skeptical, but on Nov 16th I was eating my words!! I am now just over 11 weeks pregnant, got my first ever BFP first month after surgery!! Hope this gives you some hope xx

Oh thank you ladies so much for responding I feel so much better now! I have been so down since my surgery Friday, thinking that I would have to do IVF immediately. Thank you for taking time to respond!
