Low amniotic fluid??

I'm 36weeks pregnant and my bump has been measuring 'below average' for some time now. Last Tuesday my midwife sent me for a scan to get measurements of the baby and check everything was well... All measurements of the baby were fine but my amniotic fluid levels are measuring slightly low. I've got to go back again on this coming Tuesday so they can view them again.

Has anyone else experienced this?? What was the end result?? Do I have anything to worry about??

I've tried looking online at things which I probably shouldn't as I'm reading things and worrying myself even more any help would be great xxx

Hello, I had the exact same thing happen to me. I had a scan at 37+6 and the scan showed low fluid..... after discusion with the consultant i was booked in for an emergency section that same day!! I now have a beautiful 8 month old daughter!! I wasnt prepared at all so id advise you to take your hospital bag just in case. Good luck xx

Oh gosh I better hurry and finish packing my bag this weekend! Can you remember how low yours was? I know when I had my scan it was 7.7, I dont know at what point it becomes dangerous for the baby xx

Hi,

I had this with my son. However his measurements were also small. I went in for my scan 36+6. Fluid was very low, and they decided to do an emergency induction. He was born 37 weeks on the dot, weighing 4lb 2 oz. Luckily I'd decided to pack a bag "just in case"

Sorry I cant remember how low it was, Id def take a bag!! Are babies movements ok??

Had my scan yesterday.. All went well and fluids gone up! Huge relief xx

Yep mine were really low. Measured 5.7 on the Monday and they said come in Friday to scan and check again by this time fluid had dropped to 1.4. They suggested section that day but I asked if it could wait until Monday and they were happy with that. Our daughter is gorgeous and just needs to have a scan Tuesday to check her joints. Oh she was 7lb 14oz at 38 weeks xx

I was told today that my fluid was low, it's measuring 7.1, it's been pretty normal so far. They've booked me in for a scan in 2 weeks but I'm worried that's too long x

I think 7 is still within normal range... I was told between 7-25 is normal. X
