hi,

im 24 weeks pregnant.Yesterday i had blood circulation test for fetus.test says low blood flow to fetus. gestational age is 2 weeks behind. Dr said growth is slow and it has be aborted if the growth is slow else baby will born with long term problems. im very very scared after hearing that.but baby heart beat is 134 and fetal kicks and heart beats are normal.further i have low amonotic fluid and i have slight high bp but its controlled now.please somebody share your inputs.

The doctor told me if they don't find good blood flow to the placentas then I'll be put on complete bed rest to give them all the blood. She NEVER said we would need to kill them. Maybe try the bed rest (only bathroom and doctor appointments) and ask for early delivery. GL

im sorry you have recieved this news, you must be worried sick :( I was told that if i have placenta problems again when i go for my 20 weeks scan this time, my aspirin will be increased and i may be put on blood thinners. Good luck i hope it all works out for you and your LO xx

Don't they have you on them now if you've had previous issues? I've been on aspirin since TTC (was told to just take one 81mg every day) and Lovenox since 4 weeks pregnant.

no i asked to be on them and my consultant said she woukdnt prescribe blood thinner injections unless my sticky bloods were abnormal and these were negative for APS/lupus etc. If theres altered growth at 20 week scan ill be prescribed them then tho. Id have rather been on them from the start tho :(

I was negative for those but positive for Factor V Leiden. It took rounds of tests and 3 losses to find the issue (and multiple doctors).

I'm on both aspirin and Lovenox. They can be used together.

Hi ladies my daughter was a IUGR baby, i had absent edf(cord flow) 4 times completely and intermittedly the rest of the time.
Notched arteries and inteplacental insurfficiency (lol my spelling bad)
My baby hung on until 36+5 when i went into spontaneous labour, never once did flow reverse which is where the real danger is.
My consultant not once said about aborting her.
She was born with some health conditions though, they think she had congenital pneumonia at birth but as later her heart condition was found it could have been that.
From 22 weeks i was scanned 3 times aweeks and every other week a growth scan was performed, her heart condition was not found she has multiple holes in her heart.
From 26 weeks nst tests where done 3 times aweek other than when i was in hospital then it was more often.
