Low lying placenta need advice please!!!

Hi ladies I am currently 28 weeks with a low lying placenta. I bled for the first 16 weeks due to this but nothing since. Lately I have been feeling off and last week I lost a huge clump of mucus plug but know that it can replenish so wasn't so worried. Anyway today for the last almost 2hours I have been having really sharp stabbing pains in my lower uterus. There not contractions as this is my second pregnancy so know what that feels like and it's not liagament pain either it's really sharp and quick and just comes and goes. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am thinking of going to the hospital but don't want to waste anyone's time.

Nothing is a waste of time when you're pregnant hunni. If you're feeling uneasy you should go and get checked out. Better safe than sorry good luck

thanks for the reply. I ended up just seeing what the pains did and they just subsided. Don't know if baby was in a weird position and it was causing the pains or what but they were not nice at all only lasted about 3 and a half hours in total and then I was able to sleep and just woke up a bit sore and bruised feeling the next day. I have my next appointment on Wednesday so I will mention it and see what my gp says I will also probably get a scan so she will be able to see if there is something wrong or not.
