Hi
I need help with my charting, using fertility friend, its now my 2nd month of doing it riligeiously, and last month said i O on day 22nd of 28-30 day cycle :-(, which ive read is not good as this may indicate a short luteral phase. this month on on CD24, and FF is still not showing ive even O, can someone look at my chart, see if if im doing anything wrong, I dont think im very clued up on charting to be honest, I need help. Thanks

You have got a lot of "open" circles on your chart, is that because you marked "disturbed sleep, or is it because you temped at irregular times?

I use this "BBT adjuster" to convert my temperatures when I don't wake up at the same time, it might be useful to you

https://www.whenmybaby.com/basalbodytemperature.php

This month I don't see an ovulatory pattern on your chart, but if you adjust the temperatures back to the same time every day it is easier to see if there's a pattern, a 2 hour sleep in eg on the weekend, can make a huge difference to temperatures.

Hmm. If you took the 'middle road' on your chart it would look a little less chaotic; by that I mean that if Northstar says, and you're not being consistent with your temping, consistency might have evened things out a little. Does that make sense?
Personally, I temp at pretty much the same time each day - around 10 mins after I wake up with the alarm. At the weekends I try to take it around the same time (we have a chiming clock, so if I'm vaguely awake I sometimes hear it chime on the hour and then temp if it's an appropriate time. I do tend to still do it up to an hour or so out, but bear it in mind when charting the temp. I have been known to not chart a temp if it looks way-out and I know there might be reasons, e.g. disturbed sleep or more than one glass of wine. Over Christmas I knew it would be inconvenient to temp (we were away at relatives) so didn't for 4 WHOLE DAYS! However, I didn't have a problem with it as it was right at the start of my cycle; had it been a more crucial time I might have temped.
Anyway, I digress! In short, you need to assess whether or not you are being consistent with your temping. Same time each day under similar circumstances (e.g. room temp) with 2-3 hours sleep beforehand. Do not getup to pee or anything before temping.
Hope your chart/s stabilise.

ITA with Sizzles, alcohol can make a HUGE difference to your chart, so can getting up and down to the toilet a few times etc.

I don't bother starting temping until CD8 either, and some months I've stopped once ovulation is confirmed, this month I'm doing the full month as I want to observe what if any changes the meds make.

Thanks girls, yes makes more sense, I have been not taking temp at same time, plus Ive been suffering with insomnia allot latley too, plus im a mouth breather, might try vaginal temping next cycle xx

Yep restless sleep will mess with your temperatures and make it harder to figure out what is going on.

From looking at your chart this month, seems like your body is trying to Ov and not quite getting there, and last month you say you ovulated on CD22. My best advice is to get a prescription for Clomid which should bring forward ovulation a bit.

Do you have a sympathetic GP? Doctors here in Glasgow don't like to write prescriptions for fertility meds so I went to a private GP, which only cost £65. I was suffering from a delayed ovulation (due to having to take the pill and also an ill advised try of Evening Primrose Oil) I still ovulated but it was way too late in my 27 day cycle.

This is cycle 2 on Clomid and I'm ovulating CD14 again, so I'm pretty happy with that.

It's definitely worth a try.
