Hiya,

Is there anyone that has been LTTC their second child? My second time TTC took 12 months to get my BFP then lost my beany  then another 7 cycles now and still nothing. Anyone else in the same situation that needs a buddy? Would be lovely to meet more people. I guess I have what you call as 'unexplained Fertility' grrrrr

Yes, I'm also LTTTC our 2nd, and it's driving me mad!

Our DD will be 3 next month and was conceived the very first month of TTC.....our 2nd has taken exactly 2 years so far! I did get pregnant last December but sadly miscarried at 11 weeks, and nothing since. I'm finding it really hard to avoid living and breathing TTC at the moment to be honest, some days it is literally all I think about.

We're not unexplained like you as we've had a few issues along the way. Firstly my DH discovered he had a varicocele which had caused him to have low everything - count, motility, normal forms. After surgery last year that has hugely improved and he now has normal count and morphology but slightly reduced motility. On top of that I have PCOS and after my miscarriage earlier this year did not start ovulating again. We're currently on our 4th out of 6 clomid cycles so keeping everything crossed for some good news in the next few months. Clomid has sorted out my cycle but makes me feel awful and has made me put on weight, I'm desperate to stop taking it!

Good luck!

aww hun so sorry for what you are having to go through at the minute. I hope you and me both get our BFP soon, im the same sometimes its all I can think about, I have good days and bad days. Well we can help each other through it hun..... theres nothing better than someone that knows how you feel altho I would never want anyone to go through this. Is your hubby on vitamins too, mu hubbys is on wellmans conception. Ive stopped drinking completely and I find myself snacking more.

My first took 12 months, I started ttc straight away (he is just over 2 now) as I knew the next would probably take a while too miscarried in Feb (I was so over the moon) and nothing since then. I dont want to go through all these invasive tests again but I think its going to be unavoidable

Good Luck hun

My names Shona

I'd love to join you ladies if I can.
I'm not ttc my second, but my fourth. Seems as I don't really fit in anywhere, lol.

My first was also ltttc. He took 19 months and 4 IUIs. Then I had 2 spontaneous pregnancies. Now, I'm cycle #15 and started IUI again.

We're unexplained infertility.

Hi girls can I join you too. I am Ttc #2 for me but my dh #1 as I have a son from a previous relationship. Have been trying to conceive #2 for 6 yes and 4 mnths, unexplained infertility. I am finding it hard at the moment as my best friend hasvjust given birth to her 2nd after trying for 4 years and my other friend just had ivf and is now pregnant, it seems everywhere I turn there are people falling pregnant and every day I wonder if it is ever going to happen, but I try to stay hopefully.
Lots of baby dust and my FX for you all.

I hate unexplained fertility hun, it means there is not much you can do however every kind of difficulty to get pregnant is so hard, I hate LTTTC. When are you starting the IUI, is it expensive?

You are very welcome here hun :hugs: Im wondering should I move the thread over to the group discussions one or leave it here  hopefully we will all get our BFP and we will stick together?? Nothing better to get you through it than a bit of support. I have stopped drinking so Im hoping this helps. Thats strange how you had two spontaneous ones its weird how human nature works

Yes the more the better hun :) Oh hun Im so sorry you have been trying for so long and hope you get your well BFP soon. Have you had any IVF or IUI and all tests been done? You will find it hard I have lots of friends and people at work that are pregnant and really hurts and hard to be happy about it sometimes. Cant even get through a day down the street where I dont pass a bump. But we are all here for you :hugs:

I have been predcited a conception this month :haha: I believe in stuff like this but find it hard to believe this can be predicted over email

Thanks wantingagirl, me too although after this amount of time I would be happy with either. Lol. X me and DH have had all the tests but not had Ivf /IUI yet. I am just about to finish my nursing degree in a few months so thought we should wait until I could focus 100 % but I must admit I am finding it really hard. It's all I think about 24/7.
I went to a clairvoyant, psychic group reading a month ago and as soon as she started she said someone in this room is pregnant, my heart was beating out my chest but I didn't say anything and she homed in on someone else. My AF started 2 days later but I am going for a private reading on the 6th nov so hoping for some good news then. The woman I am going to does email readings as well and she works ad hoc for the police force on murder cases so she is very good so hopefully you will have a BFP very soon. X I will keep my Fx. Who did your email reading I would love to get one but can't afford to spend a lot for one my husband would kill me. Lol

Oh my names nikki by the way, I'm 32 and my DH is 31. I have a son from a previous relationship and want more than anything to give my DH a baby so here's hoping. X

:hugs: thanks for the welcome!

I'm now 3dpiui. I'm thinking the timing was a little too early so I'm not terribly optimistic this cycle. Maybe in the next couple of cycles, I'll get lucky. I'm ridiculously fortunate in that my insurance will pay for a limited number of IUI. I plan on doing another 3 cycles that will be covered, and then I'm done. Frankly, fertility treatments are too tricky and complicated when you have other children. I have my mom helping me (). She will come over and get my boys to school while I run to the doctor for ultrasounds, IUI, etc. She's wonderful. But, it makes it very complicated. I don't want to 'use' her.

It is strange how I've had 2 spontaneous pregnancies, and now I can't get pregnant! I started ttc when she was only 1.5 years old, and I had stopped breastfeeding about 3-4 months prior to ttc. You'd think my hormones and body would be ready for another baby quickly, but I guess not. And it's hard to reconcile my emotions as well. I know how fortunate I am to have gotten pregnant after ltttc my first. And then to have 2 more children is icing on the cake. But, now I feel almost like I'm being punished with infertility again. I have 3 kids yes, but it seems unfair for a person to have infertility twice. So, I'm fortunate for my 3 children, and unfortunate for having infertility twice, if that makes any sense!

My RE is very encouraged that I have a baby that is 2.5 (almost 3) years old.
I'm hopeful that IUI will work, but it might take a few cycles.

How about you? Tell us about yourself.

I will repy properly individually later :) Got to do some cleaning up

Just wanted to say a bit about me, my journals at the bottom of my siggy your always welcome there

Im Scottish but I live in Tyne & Wear Newcastle. Im 30 and hubby is 32. I have a stepson that lives with us full time he has just turned 9 and my first son has just turned 2. My son took just over 12 months to conceive, I had appendicitus when I was younger and worried about scarring so all tests were done pretty quickly all came back fine and hubbys too. Was referred for IVF went to appointment and they sed that we would have to pay for it ourselves as stepson lived fulltime with us! Went home to save and keep trying and conceived 2-3 weeks later.

Had my beautiful boy Cody he just turned 2 in august and we tried straight away (mad I know) but we wanted to as knew last time we took a while didnt think I would still be here TTC in nearly 2012.

So fast forward nearly 2 years TTC, Miscarriage in Feb this year and now TTC 7 month since loss. My due date would have been october 24th so the closer it gets the harder it is. I have stopped drinking now to see if this helps as my peak day ranges from day 12-18 whereas before cody was always day 14.

I used to live in Scotland but moved aug 10, it is hard sometimes as no family here and not many friends as still trying to settle in but getting there. We felt a move from our previous house here was needed as a new fresh start
