Hi ladies
I can't remember the last time I was on here... you know what it's like when you're ltttc!
I have PCOS but am not insulin resistent. My GP recently put me on Metformin just for 3 months to see if it helps with my weight. I also started taking agnus castus, dong quai and multi-vits again, along with zinc, chromium and CoQ10. That was around the start of September. I stopped everything but the Metformin at the end of September (can't be bothered!).
After countless cycles of clomid and a lap, dye and ovarian drilling last year, my cycle eventually settled into a 34-day routine - better than nothing!
I am now on CD46 with absolutely no sign of AF. I don't symptom spot anymore, but thinking back I had loads of EWCM around the time I was expecting AF. Probably for about 5 days. I have sore boobs at least once a day (I don't really understand what people mean by the term 'tenderness', mine just feels like a dull ache on all sides), no spotting or anything, sort of feeling occasionally that AF is coming with a few tummy twinges, but only for a minute, then it goes. I was quite constipated for a couple of days, but that's fine now. A little bloated and uncomfortable and gassy! Yesterday and today I've felt quite achey in my shoulders and a tiny bit in my lower back today (but just for a second, nothing major). I've felt slightly nauseous after eating a couple of times, but I don't think that has anything to do with it - although I have had no side effects from the Met, I've just put it down to that. 2 x cheapie Tesco tests have been BFN.
Have any fellow PCOSers on Met had a similar experience?
I just can't believe that I seem to be right back at square one again with the non-existent cycles! I can't understand why Met would have any effect on it, given that it is not a hormone supplement, but I can't think of what else could have affected it.
Any ideas?
