I am so sorry ..My 14 year old son just got it, he is on 4 weeks of Antibiotics.. What happened was he got Bells Palsy so i took him to his pediatrician, who ran some blood tests and there is was lyme disease..H e had to see a neurologist just to make sure he was ok ( Which he is) and he had to get an MRI brain scan just for precaution, I am sure it is fine, I get the results tomorrow.. He was hanging out in the woods and that is how he got it.. It's 100 % curable, if it's found, some people go years not knowing they have it. If left untreated it can cause major problems.. You should be on antibiotics, are you?

ok I just read your story, I cannot believe insurance wont cover this, how is this possible? My God, I am so sorry

I am on antibiotics for now, at least ones that I can tolerate while pregnant. They are kicking my butt! and I work full time so this is really taking it out of me. I might have been able to get away with the typical 4 week round of antibiotics, had I not been pregnant, because those meds are not safe for baby. I just do not know what else to do or where to turn. I haven't even posted the fundraiser link to my facebook because A: I have not told most people about the pregnancy because I have not had a midwife apt yet. and B: I hate asking people for money, howver I al so desperate right now I'm not sure what else to do. I can't pay my bills, we are so far behind, and it is causing a lot of stress and anxiety.
