Any ideas how to make the perfact macaroni cheese ?:dohh:
, realy cheesy :happydance:

I don't cook but my OH uses red leicester cheese in his and it's mint. Sometimes he also puts in a wee bit of colmans mustard to give it a kick.
Also uses those mattesons smoked sausages chopped up through it.

xx

this is a quick and easy recipe not gourmet but..

2 teaspoons of salt
2 cups macaroni
1 tbs butter
2 slices yellow American cheese
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of 2 % milk

boil the noodles with the salt in water until soft.
then in a separate pot put the cheeses, milk and butter and stir until creamy
and then just mix together.

This is the recipe i use courtesy of Tesco site
Ingredients
• 225 g macaroni pasta
 • 125 g smoked Wiltshire streaky bacon
 • 50 g unsalted butter
 • 50 g plain white flour
 • 600 ml semi skimmed milk
 • Shavings of Nutmeg
 • ½ tsp English mustard
 • 100 g red Leicester
 • 100 g English cheddar
 • 100 g double Gloucester
Method
1. Cook the macaroni according to the packet instructions or until al dente.
 2. Meanwhile place the bacon under a hot grill and cook until crispy. Then cut the bacon up and place to one side.
 3. Drain the macaroni and add to the sauce along with the bacon and cheese, saving a little for the top.
 4. Place in an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with the breadcrumbs and cheese. Place the sliced tomato on top – place under a hot grill until golden and bubbling.
For the Sauce
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and stir in the flour to make a roux – cook for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and add the milk, gradually whisking all the time. Place back on the heat and bring up to a simmer, whisk until the sauce thickens. Season with pepper, a few shavings of nutmeg and the mustard
I never use the nut meg or breadcrumbs though and just generally guess the measures LOL

I feel like a dummy now cause everyone's puttin up recipes and cause I don't cook I don't know any.

Sorry I wasn't much help. x
