So, for the past few days, I've been experiencing lower back pains...they're always there and sometimes get really bad, that I have to stop what I am doing and just breathe as the pain is that intense....

I'm not worried about bubs as I can still feel her moving and kicking, but I'm worried about the pain in my back...

I've just moved and changed midwives and dont meet my new one until Thursday so I cant even phone them to reassure me...

Any ideas on how to relieve back pain??

I've tried sleeping with maternity pillow, paracetomol, hot bath (and couldnt get out again :dohh: ) and boyfriend massages me....but I'm still in pain.

Help???

Thanks

xx

Since you say you just moved, could it be strain on your back from that? Moving things around, even small things can hurt a pregnant lady's back far easier than when we're not preggers. I'm not sure what to suggest, maybe try an icepack? The best thing you can do is just relax so the muscles don't get more tense. Maybe get in bed and watch a movie, if you can get into a comfy spot maybe you'll fall asleep. My worst back pains always get a little better after some rest.

Get a hot water bottle for your back and lie down on the sofa, try and keep any strain off your back from moving around, sitting up etc. Hope you feel better soon :hugs: xx
