So I'm having my first xmas in my own house. Me and Ike are going to my grandparents house for christmas dinner and later on, my grandparents and uncle are coming to my house for tea (or dinner... or whatever you call it). I'm gonna do a buffet, but I want to make it really special and awesome. Anyone got any ideas about what I could do to make it extra special and nice?

Do you like seafood? How about picking up a lobster or something?

Me and OH usually treat ourselves to a lobster and have a nice seafood style buffet at some point over christmas.

id cook some meat and have it on the table with lots of nice breads and pickles and stuff to go with it and a big cheese board and crackers, just something really easy to throw together but looks and tastes nice,

im doing a christmas breakfast here for my side of the family (as well as cooking christmas dinner for me OH and LO) my mum normally does a huge fry up but im going with croissants, pastries, muffins, fruit salad and bucks fizz cus i cba cooking 2 huge meals in one day! xx

Lollol I forgot to mention I'm vegetarian and don't like cooking meat... So meat/fish is a nono. My grandparents are taking care of all the meaty stuff on my behalf.. =/

mm i dunno then what about lots of diff veggie tapas? and some pasta salads, still easy x

sainsburys are doing really nice platters for xmas - have a look online

we are doing the exact same! going to my folks for lunch then the mil and fil are coming here for tea/dinner. Tbh, I think Iceland party food is BRILL!! Really tasty and pretty easy on the purse! I'm gonna go and spend like twenty quid and there will be MORE than enough!
