Mammogram call back..

My mum had her very first mammogram screening last Friday.
She called me just now, had a letter in the post asking her to go to local hospital this Friday for an X-Ray.
I am worried sick, is this normal?
Does it always mean something bad?
I am going with her Friday but I am really scared about what they will say

My mum had a call back I think because of a "shadow" on the first mamogram. It all turned out fine in her case.

My MIL was called back after her mammogram a month or two ago. When she got there (and they called her back within the week so were pretty swift) they were concerned about one particular shadow, and did another mammogram and xray and examination and it was absolutely nothing to worry about. It just wasn't clear from the first one and they wanted to be absolutely sure. The leaflet she got before she went back said that something like one in 10 women are called back - so hopefully it will be something like this. xxx
