Just looking for some opinions please.

My son was born at 31 weeks. When he was released from hospital he was seen by a regular GP who over the course of the year became concerned due to his quick head growth. According to the head circumference growth chart, his head went from being bellow the 5th percentil to the 94th percentile. I've been freaking out about it, but just the other day I found out that when he was born his head was in the 93 percentile. So I rechecked the chart my doctor had done and she was not using his adjusted age. So, yes, he was below the 5th percentile when he was 9 weeks old, but technically he was 0 at that measurement. When I recharted the results based on his adjusted age, he has always been between the 90th and 95th percentile.

So my question is, do I use the adjusted age information or the actual age?
(as a sidenote, his weight and height all grew at the same rate as his head)

Thanks for your opinions!

When measuring weight or height/lengths its general adjusted age x

Everything gets done on adjusted age :flower:

My son's head was off the charts at his 6 month exam so our doc sent us for a CT scan to check for hydrocephalus. Luckily it was not anything serious, and from what I have read and seen, a larger head size (in relation to rest of the body) is a common preemie thing.
