Maternity leave

Hi,

Me and my OH have been TTC since Sept...and I also started a new job in Sept. How long do I have to be employed by a company before I get maternity leave?

Any advice would be much appreciated xx

To qualify for statutory maternity pay the gov.uk site states that you must "have worked for your employer continuously for at least 26 weeks up to the ‘qualifying week’ - the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth"
You're entitled to maternity leave regardless of how long you've worked though.
If your company offers enhanced pay above the smp amount they may have their own rules.
