Hey girls, hoping someone can shed some light, I missed my 28 weeks check as I was away and out of curiosity I thought I'll measure my fundal Height. I didn't feel like bub had moved up at all really since appointment at 24weeks where I was measuring a week behind, don't really feel/see movement much above belly button. Sure enough I'm measuring at 25cm which is 25weeks. I'm sure I did it right but now I've got myself worried that baby isn't growing. Am I worrying for nothing, seeing midwife Tuesday for bloods so I guess she'll know more. Wish I'd left the tape measure alone now haha x mya

Try nor to worry. I believe different mw get different measurements from eachother and they had years of training x

My doctor says it's almost impossible for you to do this measurement properly yourself, the strange way you need to reach screws with it.

Also, fundal heigh means very little. I'm constantly 2+ weeks over, and yet bubs isn't that big.

It can be a few cm above or below so I don't think you need to worry. It's a guide and I think human error comes into it a lot - I have no idea how I'd measure bump myself right now but think if I did it would be even less accurate than mycurrent mw doing it haha x
