1 onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
Olive oil
500g Sainsbury's coarse cut mince
2x 400g tins chopped tomatoes
400g spaghetti
3 handfuls frozen garden peas
Black pepper
Fry the onion and 1 clove of the garlic with a splash of olive oil over a low heat for about 10 minutes.
Let the onions cool, then mix with the beef mince. Season with pepper. Wet your hands and roll out 40 little balls. Place the balls in the fridge to firm.
Finely slice and fry the remaining garlic in a splash of olive oil for 1 minute, then add the tomatoes and season to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Bring a large pan of water to the boil. In a large frying pan, fry the meatballs with a splash of olive oil for 10 minutes, turning every couple of minutes until browned and cooked through.
Cook the spaghetti in the water for about 8 minutes. Stir 3 handfuls of frozen peas into the cooked tomato sauce. Drain the pasta and add to the sauce with the meatballs. Mix together and serve in bowls.
Cook's tip: If you want to add extra flavour to the mince add a pinch of dried oregano.
